Now entering its sixth year, the Syrian conflict continues to profoundly impact children, marking a distressing low point in their suffering. As a beacon of hope, UNICEF’s Regional Ambassador for the Middle East and North Africa, Zade Dirani, dedicated a song to UNICEF that symbolizes the aspirations of Syria’s children to reclaim their stolen childhoods. This song serves as a heartfelt appeal to the global community.
Ansam, a ten-year-old blind girl displaced within Syria, delivers a poignant performance of this song in an area devastated by the conflict. She is joined by a choir of internally displaced children, who also benefit from UNICEF’s psychosocial support programs, adding profound emotional depth to the performance.
I was deeply involved in the conceptualization and production of the music video. As the project lead, I directed the production and managed the editing, mixing, and post-production processes.
